Claire Stevens blasted a two-run homer over the left field wall in the sixth inning to secure a 10-9 win for Manchester Academy over Washington School last week.
Stevens drove in four runs with a pair of hits to help lead the Lady Mavericks to victory. She had a two-run single in the first inning to lead the way in a game where MA batters had a total of 11 hits.
The Lady Mavericks started out strong with Aubree Walton and Embree Carpenter adding RBI singles to build on the lead in the second inning.
Washington School took the lead in the sixth inning with four runs scored before MA came back to win it.
Embrie Carpenter started on the mound for MA, and Analee Whitworth added one and a third innings of scoreless relief.
Walton had three hits in four at bats and two RBI for Manchester. Embrie Carpenter had two hits and two RBI.
Molly McBride, Angel Rae Carpenter and Emma Roberts each had a hit and an RBI. Morgan Foster also had a hit for MA.

Analee Whitworth went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead the Lady Mavericks in hits. She also had two stolen bases for MA.

MA bounced back with a big win thanks to another strong batting performance led by Aubree Walton. Walton had two hits, two RBI and scored a run to help lead the Lady Mavericks to a decisive win on the road.
Walton, Analee Whitworth, Emma Roberts, Morgan Foster and Molly Foster each had a pair of hits in the win.
