After another week of action in the Yazoo Youth Basketball League, the cream of the proverbial crop has started to rise and other teams have begun to turn their fortunes around.

Buddy’s Bulls 8
Anthony Ingram, Jr. scored eight points to lead the Eagles while Jaylen Carlyle paced the Bulls with six.
Orange Crush 20,
Scott Memorial 13
Jasmine Sims scored 10 points to lead Orange Crush past Scott Memorial. Ebonee Brown added six points and Lynell Campbell had four. Kennedi Irving led Scott Memorial with five points followed by Keith Houston and Kaleb Washington each with four.
McCoy HandyGirlz 17,
Ebenezer Ballers 16
The HandyGirlz squeaked out a one-point win over the Ballers behind seven points from point guard Catherine Collum. Antaniya Brown and Jamiya Price each added four and Shaniya Murphy scored two. Fred Grey led the way for the Ballers with seven points, Timarion Hoover chipped in with five, and Cameron Owens and Lemmie Gates rounded out the scoring with two points apiece.
Warriors 24,
Indians 15
The Warriors remained undefeated after posting the 9-point win over the Indians. Daon Henry scored a game-high 10 points to pace the Indians, followed by Chris Burnett with nine, and JT Pelison with five. Demareon Fowler was the high-point man for the Indians with nine points. Other scorers were Marquari Moorehead with three, Jakori Jones with two, and Jaquaris Rogers with one.
TempStaff 28,
Chiefs 23
Lincoln Granderson connected on three three-pointers and ended the game with 11 points to lead TempStaff to the win over the Chiefs. Deveon Luckett added eight points in the win, while Jalen Carter had five and Kejaun Frierson had four. Chiefs point guard William Grayson scored a game-high 13 points in the loss. Other scorers were Devan Drain with five, Larry Moore and Shamar Allen with two apiece and Manari Paige with one.
