Lady Indians pick up first win of the season

The Yazoo City Lady Indians volleyball team picked up their first win of the season with a 3-0 sweep of the Gentry Lady Rams Monday night. The Lady Indians won in straight sets, 25-9, 25-22, and 26-24. Pictured above is Lady Indian Jacquerra Effinger.

Yazoo County outlasts Shaw, 18-12

Raiders fall 54-24 to Sylva Bay

The Benton Academy Raiders found themselves on the losing side of a 54-24 shellacking at the hands of the Sylva Bay Saints this past Friday night.

The Saints took a 12-0 lead after the first quarter, but the Raiders opened the second quarter with a score of their own when Peyton McGlawn found paydirt from 41 yards out.
