Locals earn USM degrees

The University of Southern Mississippi awarded undergraduate, graduate and specialist degrees to approximately 1,300 students graduating in the fall 2023 semester.
USM graduates from the local area include Keely Peyton McGinty, of Bentonia, Bachelor of Arts; and Shaundra Denise Dixon, of Yazoo City, Doctor of Education.

Locals earn NMCC honor

The Vice President's List for the Fall 2023 semester at Northwest Mississippi Community College has been released by college officials. Included are over 400 full-time students who completed the semester with a grade point average of 3.5 to 3.74.
Local students include Zachary Parks of Bentonia; and Fabiana Tyler of Yazoo City.
