Walker earns PhD in Energy Science

Rebecca (Roo) Walker-Moir, granddaughter of Thomas and Kaye Odom of Yazoo City and daughter of Stacey Walker of Canton, Mississippi, earned her Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Energy Science and Engineering from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, through the Bredesen Center for Interdisciplinary Research and Graduate Education.

Carpenter, Lady Mavericks down Carroll, 41-20

Manchester Academy picked up a pair of girls’ basketball wins recently with a win over Deer Creek and another win at Carroll.
The Lady Mavericks defeated Deer Creek 58-21, and picked up a 41-20 road win at Carroll.
Against Carroll, Ellie Carpenter and Alley Grace Ables led the way with 11 and 10 points respectively.

Hardwood Showdown

It was a rival showdown last weekend with Manchester Academy and Benton Academy’s Pee Wee basketball teams meeting on the hardwood.
