Benton Academy Raider head football coach Bryan Dendy reached a milestone last Friday night, securing his 100th career victory with his Raiders’ 32-12 win over Christ Covenant School.
Benton improved to 5-3 on the season with the win.
The Raiders opened the game’s scoring on a three-yard Dalton Robles run, followed by a two-point conversion run by Peyton McGlawn to take an early 8-0 lead.
Benton scored three times in the second quarter on a safety by Cullen McCain, a 39-yard pass from Clayton Saxton to McCain and a six-yard pass from Saxton to Robles.
CCS also scored on a 63-yard kickoff return in the quarter making the score 24-6 at halftime.
CCS scored their final touchdown in the third quarter on a 14-yard pass and the Raiders scored the game’s final touchdown in the fourth on a 24-yard pass from Saxton to Peyton McGlawn.
