It has been slightly over a year since the Democrats told us that it would be impossible to grow the economy over 2 percent a year.
They laughed when President Trump said that the economy should be growing at over 4 percent a year. They said it was impossible, that the world had changed, and that America’s best days were behind her. They told us that we were just going to have to accept the fact that from now on, there would be high unemployment and more of our citizens dependant on the government for survival.
The "snowflakes" bought into the garbage Bernie Sanders was attempting to sell. Bernie is an old time socialist who has a strong affection for Soviet style communism. You will recall that he spent his honeymoon in Moscow. He proudly wears the badge of socialism on his shoulder, and once he had failed to win the Presidency, reverted back to his "Independent " status in the U. S. Senate.
President Trump is in the process of restoring "free market capitalism" to the United States, and in just under a year has brought about economic growth that the Democrat Party said was impossible to achieve. The stock market breaks new records every day with no end in sight, and the fourth quarter of this past fiscal year saw a 3.2 percent growth in the gross national product. Unemployment has been reduced significantly, and OPTIMISM in the business world is the highest it has been in over 17 years.
Socialists believe that everything should be free. Medical costs should be bourn by the government, and every citizen should be given a "livable income." I heard one "snowflake" proclaim that everyone should be given a free college education and promised a job.
Well, I hate to be the bearer of bad news for this young lady, but the world doesn’t work like that. She went on to declare her undying love for Bernie Sanders and how his policies would be good for America. Does the word "economics" ever enter her empty mind?
Let’s take a look at this gross ignorance and see if she really believes this nonsense. Suppose she goes to the beauty parlor to have her hair styled. After the beautician has finished, does she walk out without paying? Of course not. The beautician expects to be paid for her time and services. That’s the way capitalism works.
The young "snowflake" then goes to the doctor for the treatment of a cold. The doctor isn’t going to give her his service for free. He has people to pay who work for him, and in addition, must pay mundane things like electric bills, water bills, office rent, insurance, and the list goes on. He must collect a fee or soon he will be out of business.
If the government forces the doctor to give his services for free, soon there will be no services available anywhere for the "snowflake" to access. Her cold or flu will go untreated.
The grocery store is another example. In America, the "snowflake" can go to any grocery store and find that the shelves are full. She has a wealth of options to put in her food cart. But should Bernie Sander’s policies be enacted, the shelves in the store would soon be empty.
The grocer must be paid or soon he is out of business. And there is one more thing. In a free market economy, the grocer must compete.
If he charges too much, there is a grocery store down the street with better prices. Thus competition causes the price of groceries to stay at a reasonable cost.
If you like communism or socialism, look no further than North Korea or Venezuela. In North Korea, the people are literally starving. Socialism has ruined Venezuela’s economy, and though it is rich in natural resources, the people are having a hard time buying bread.
Free market capitalism is the best way to distribute goods and services, and the sooner the young "snowflake" gets this concept, the better off she is going to be. Compared to all other countries in the world, America leads the way, and there is not a close second. Free Market Capitalism is the reason.
