We are all watching an historic event. This type of presidential election is what you see when a candidate tries to wrest power away from the establishment. Trump’s own party, the Republican Party, cannot unite and support him. He is fighting a one-man battle against crooked Hillary Clinton and the socialist Democrat Party. The media has chosen sides, and 91 percent of Trump coverage has been negative. Few elected Republicans have the guts to openly support him, and fewer have the intestinal fortitude to campaign for him.
The Democrats have thrown everything at Trump including the kitchen sink, and yet, Clinton is such a poor and reprehensible candidate that she cannot put him away. She staggers him with one lie after another, but yet he shakes it off and keeps coming.
When George H. W. Bush was running against Bill Clinton, I had a conversation with a friend of mine that sticks in my mind just as if it happened yesterday. Remember that Bill Clinton had been accused of "sexual misconduct" in Arkansas. "Sixty Minutes" went down to Arkansas to interview Clinton and his wife, Hillary. That’s when she said something to the effect that "she was no Tammy Wynette standing by her man."
Every one in Arkansas knew that Bill Clinton was a womanizer. Every one in the media knew that Clinton was a womanizer. Hillary knew that Bill was a womanizer, so it would seem that this revelation was going to sink the Clinton ship. After all of this came out, Clinton was going to be toast. Wrong!
The more dirt that came out, the more popular Bill Clinton became. My friend and I observed that if George H. W. Bush could not put Clinton away with all of the dirt coming out on him, then Bush had a problem, a problem that would eventually cost him the presidency.
Hillary has been told by her handlers that she has already won the election. I must admit that I have no idea how this election will turn out, but something is very strange, something that buzzes around in my brain like a bumble bee. To me, all the pieces don’t quite add up.
Hillary has all of the money in the world with which to campaign. She has the infrastructure of the socialist Democrat Party. She has some of the most feared thugs in politics working for her and dispensing dirty tricks all over the place. She cranks out an endless supply of lies about Trump. She attacks Trump’s character while all the while failing to see her character flaws. We know that she is a socialist, perhaps worse. She has no understanding of how the economy works, and she is a firm believer in government regulations, the kind that cost Americans jobs.
She has stated that Obamacare must be saved, and she intends to tweak it in order to save it. This albatross is absolutely killing our job market, and if it continues as the law of the land, you and I will be hoping to find a doctor who will treat us, and we will pay for his services out of our own pockets. American citizens who do not have the means to pay for their own medical care will simply have to do without, and this is not good. People whose lives could have been extended with proper medical care will die prematurely.
Under Hillary, factories will have to close because she is a believer in "climate change." More regulations will be generated in Washington that will affect every single American. The EPA is at this very moment planning regulations that will reduce the number of air conditioners in the United States.
But, all of us know that Hillary will be a disaster as president, yet in some polls she is leading. But she has not knocked Trump out of the race. Like the case of George H. W. Bush, this could be a problem for the "Crooked One." I keep remembering Bill Clinton’s theme during the campaign, " It’s the economy, stupid."
We shall see.
