William “Bill” Adams Sr., 79, died Aug. 18, 2017 at his home in Clinton.
Visitation will be from 12:30-2 p.m. Wednesday at Stricklin-King Funeral Home.
Funeral services are Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Stricklin-King Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Baird officiating. Burial will follow at Glenwood Cemetery.
Mr. Adams was born April 23, 1938 in Yazoo County to Thomas Clarence Adams and Eva Lucille Higginbotham Adams. He was a retired law enforcement officer and a member of Pocahontas Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Jeremy Graham.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy Griffin Adams o Clinton; two sons, William “Bill” Adams Jr. of Clinton and Murray Adams of Sylvarena; two daughters, Renee Alias of Utica and Stacey Turner of Bentonia; two brothers, Raymond Adams of Baton Rouge, La. and Wayne Adams of Hurley; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers are Taz Alias, Will Adams, Cody Thompson, Christopher Adams, Ryan Adams and Murray Adams.
