God our Father and His Lord Christ called Susan Crowder Jordan home to be with them on Sept. 5, 2017.
Until her unexpected passing, Mrs. Jordan lived with her husband in a home they’d built not far outside the city limits of Vernon, Alabama.
Mrs. Jordan departed this earthly life through complications caused by pneumonia. She was 63 years of age. At the time of her passing Mrs. Jordan was under intensive care at Druid City Hospital in Tuscaloosa.
Daughter of Herman Redditt Crowder and Margaret Gooch Crowder, Susan Patricia Crowder (confirmed “Rose:) was born April 10, 1954 in Yazoo City.
As a girl, Susan attended Manchester Academy High School, Yazoo City High School and the University of Mississippi at Oxford. In 1976 she graduated from the Peachtree Academy of Art in Atlanta, Georgia.
Married to John L. Jordan in 1979, Susan moved with her musician-husband to Los Angeles. There she built her career in healthcare with the United Hospital Association of California. Mrs. Jordan retired from UHA in 2004 as Executive Vice President of Administration.
In retirement, Mr. and Mrs. Jordan built their new home in Lamar County, Alabama and there lived happily together until her passing.
Mrs. Susan Patricia Crowder Jordan is survived by her husband, four sisters, two brothers, as well as numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
A private memorial service was held.
