Shirley Barnes Packer, 73, of Madison, and formerly of Yazoo City, passed away Saturday, Dec. 10, 2016 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland.
Visitation is from 1-2 p.m. Thursday at Stricklin-King Funeral Home.
Funeral services are Thursday, Dec. 15 at 2 p.m. at the Stricklin-King Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Glenwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Barnes was born April 20, 1943 in Yazoo County to John G. and Linda Cessna Barnes. She was a homemaker and a Baptist.
Survivors include her husband, Jerry Packer of Garyville, La.; two sons, John Kress of Hammond, La. and Wayne Kress of Baton Rouge, La.; sisters, Elaine Gray of Alexandria, La. and Patricia Moore of Madison; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
