Mrs. Kight was born on November 18, 1924 in Delta, Mississippi. She was a daughter of the late James Clark Seale and Mary Ethel Seale. She married Willie Earl Kight at the age of 17 in 1941.
Mrs. Kight had six children which she loved dearly. As the grandchildren came along they became the sparkle in her eyes.
Living for the Lord was her passion. Through any situation, she always had a word of encouragement. You never left her house without hearing Acts 2:38 (and Peter said unto them, Repent, be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remissions of your sins and ye shall receive the holy ghost) and her saying “You better be ready because Jesus is coming soon and hell is going to be hot.” She would always call out her Children and grand Children by their names when she prayed. She was a prayer warrior you definitely wanted to have her on your side.
You never came to Mrs. Kight's house without some homemade biscuit or cornbread on her old wood burning stove. She was always cooking for family and friends, and she loved every minute of it. Although she could cook anything, her homemade chocolate pie, buttermilk pie, fresh coconut pie and her Mac and cheese was a favorite of many. She could take a little of nothing and make something.
Mrs. Kight was preceded in death by her father, James Clark Seale; mother, Mary Ethel Seale; husband, Willie Earl Kight; son, James Earl Kight; daughters, Bernice McCoy and Ruby Inez Emfinger; and grandsons, Charles Allen Ross, and Jerry Lamar Germany.
Mrs. Kight is survived by her son, Willie Earl Jr. and Toni Sue Kight of Cushing Okla.; daughters, Mary Lee and Jesse Germany of Yazoo City and Hazel Averine and John David Jones of North Little Rock Ark.; 30 grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren and host of great-great-grandchildren.
The family would like to say thank you to Larry and Tammy Walker for their sacrifice, and the care they provided to Mrs. Kight for many years without complaint. They are truly examples of what it means to be called “FAMILY.” Again, the family can not express their appreciation of how much it means to them.
Serving as pallbearers are Travis Ross, Wesley Walker, Marcus Emfinger, Joe Kight, Larry Kight, David McCoy, Steven Daniels, Ricky Kight and Jessie Germany
