Roy A. Pepper Jr, 92, of Vaughan passed away Sunday, March 19, 2017 at The Madison County Nursing Home in Canton.
Funeral services are Wednesday, March 22 at Ellison United Methodist Church on Vaughan Road in Yazoo County with visitation starting at 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery under the direction of Stricklin-King Funeral Home.
Mr. Pepper was born April 18, 1924 in Yazoo County to Roy Archibald Pepper Sr. and Thelma Barr Pepper. He was a farmer and gin operator and a member of Black Jack Baptist Church.
Survivors include his niece, Thelma JoAnna Adams of Lawrenceville, Ga.; nephew, Ennis Barr Pepper of Durban, South Africa; and numerous relatives in Vaughan, Canton and Yazoo City.
