Roger Franklin “Frankie” Burton, Junior was born on July 22, 1950, and died peacefully in his home surrounded by his family on January 10, 2023. Graveside funeral services will be held on January 13, 2023, at 2:00pm at Bentonia Baptist Church Cemetery in Bentonia, Mississippi. Frankie attended Central Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his father, Roger Franklin Burton, Senior; his mother, Ruby Simmons Burton; his sister, Patty Burton Hancock; and his brother, Jerry Simmons Burton, Senior. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Carla Appleton Burton; his son, Roger Franklin “Trey” Burton, III (Candace); his daughter, Shannon Boyce (Dan Rouse); and his daughter, Brook Clark (Glenn). He is also survived by his grandchildren who brought him great joy, Hadley McGehee (Kirk); Zac Clark; Rouse Boyce; and Roger Franklin Burton, IV (Zeb).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent to Central Baptist Church, 1495 Highway 49 Frontage Road, Bentonia, Mississippi or a charity of your choice.
