Nettie Vandevender Jones, 78, died June 5, 2017 at Belzoni Nursing Home.
Funeral services are Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Stricklin-King Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Barry Ward officiating. Burial will follow at Dover Cemetery.
Visitation is from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday at Stricklin-King Funeral Home.
Mrs. Jones was born May 3, 1939 in Bentonia to Henry and Lois Moore Vandevender. She worked in sales for Mississippi Chemical Corp. and was a member of Concord Baptist Church.
Survivors include her sons, Dean Durden (Bonnie) of Yazoo City and Ty Durden of Benton; daughters, Marquetta Henden (Larry) of Bentonia and Beverly Browing (Mike) of San Antonio, Texas; stepson, Robert M. Jones of Vicksburg; two sisters, Linda Perry of Bentonia and Dorothy Hoss of Flora; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers are Derrick Stricklin, Henry Stricklin, Timothy Stricklin, Caden Kilpatrick, Brock Browning, Christopher Durden, Wes Durden, John Robert Sherman and Dawson Kilpatrick.
