Nathan “Pete” Savell Sr., 88, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Aug. 27, 2019.
Funeral services were held on Aug. 28 at Central Baptist Church. Burial followed at Dover Cemetery.
Mr. Savell was an Army veteran, a member of the VFW post in Yazoo City and a retired carpenter. Pete touched many lives and will be missed by many.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 46 years, Betty Robertson Savell; and two granddaughters, Shannon Savell and Rochelle Downs Cummings.
Survivors include his two sons, Glenn Savell and Nathan “Nate” (Vickie) Savell Jr.; daughter, Kathy (Jeff) Shipp; 10 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter; and brother-in-law, William “Bill” Wacker.
Pallbearers were Casey Savell, Chance Savell, Kyl Savell, Allen Bigford, Seth Hawk and Dee Martin.
