Nancy Carmen Davis Bayse, 62, of Vidalia and Del Rio, TX, passed away on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 in Natchez, MS at Merit Health.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, June 26, 2017 at Young's Funeral Home in Vidalia, La. at 12:00 noon with a visitation beginning at 11 a.m., under the direction of Comer Funeral Home. Carmen was born in Jackson, MS to Vernon “Pedro” Davis and Lois Martin Davis on August 31, 1954. She proudly served her country in the U.S. Army. After her time in the service she worked as a correctional officer. She worked for Concordia Parish Correctional Facility until she moved to Del Rio, TX. While living in Texas she worked for Wakenhut- GEO Corrections for six years, then went to work for Dismas Charities, Inc. for five years. Carmen loved her family and friends, and was very close to her brother, Cecil. Her kind, Christian heart will be greatly missed by all those that knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; paternal grandparents, Elton and Edna Davis; maternal grandparents, Alvin and Lilly Martin; and one brother, Cecil L. Davis.
Carmen leaves behind her two aunts, Charline McGraw of Yazoo City, MS and Bobbie Cessna of Chesterfield, MO; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
