Maxine S. Clements, 86, of Jackson died April 29, 2017 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland.
Funeral services were Tuesday at the Stricklin-King Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mark Strum officiating. Burial followed at Glenwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Clements was born May 18, 1930 in Sharkey County to Howell and Nellie Ree Briggs Stokes. She was a retired secretary for the Missisppi Department of Rehabilitation and a member of First Baptist Church of Raymond.
Survivors include her husband, James V. Clements of Jackson; two daughters, Penny Grant of Jackson and Polly Kirkland of Clinton; a son, David Cook of Morgan City, La.; a stepson, James A. Clements of Pearl; two stepdaughters, Jamie Picke of Rolling Fork and Patsy Smith of Biloxi; eight grandchildren; six step-grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers were J. Langley, Taylor Hinton, Hayes Kelly, Brad Clements, Cole Kelly and Parker Hinton.
