Marion H. Griffin, 88, of Yazoo City, passed away on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at his residence.
Services will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2017, at Stricklin-King Funeral Home, with visitation starting at 11 a.m. followed by services at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at Center Ridge Cemetery. Stricklin-King Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
Mr. Griffin was born on January 22, 1929, in Yazoo County, to Murray Griffin and Oda Pearl Spivey. He was a member of Center Ridge Baptist Church and was a retired member of the United States Marine Corps and the Mississippi Army National Guard.
Marion was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors are his wife, Elizabeth Ann Kirk Griffin; daughters, Pamela Griffin (Monty) Howard, of Lexington, MS; D.D. Griffin (Jimmy) Hankins, of Yazoo City; Pennie Sue Griffin, of Yazoo City; sister, Peggy Pearl (Bill) Adams, of Clinton, MS; four grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers are Jett Griffin, Scooter Griffin, Bill Adams, Jr., Belve Griffin, Brent Griffin, and Mark Kirk.
