Lawrence Eugene Blaylock Sr. 78, of Yazoo City passed away Saturday, March 18, 2017 at his residence.
Services will be Tuesday, March 21 at Center Ridge Baptist Church with visitation starting at 9:30 A.M followed by services at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. Stricklin-King Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
Mr. Blaylock was born Aug. 14, 1938 in Louise to Lester Lawrence Bullock and Onella Roberts Blaylock. He was a member of Center Ridge Baptist Church and during his career served as an auto mechanic, a truck driver and a farmer.
Lawrence was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Johnny Blaylock.
Survivors are his wife Ernestine Blaylock, sons; Lawrence Blaylock Jr. (Terry), Gary Blaylock (Dorothy) and Michael Blaylock (Sandra), all of Yazoo City; daughters, Joanne Carley (Greg) of Vicksburg, Sherry Hern (Darrell) of Richland, Elizabeth Bradshaw (Randy) of Yazoo City and Marylin Williamson (Clay) of Yazoo City; 14 grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren; brother, Grady Blaylock of Greenville; and a sister, Maudie Nelma of Georgia.
Serving as pallbearers are Kurt Williamson, Brett Williamson, Christopher Reddick, David Allen Jr., Lawrence Blaylock III and A.C. Parker, Jr.
Honorary Pallbearer will be Charles Mullens.
