John E. Ellzey, 69, of Yazoo City died at The Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson Sunday August 7, 2016.
He was a teference librarian and local historian.
Survivors are his sisters; Gale Ellzey Powell of Yazoo City, Sandra Allen of Baton Rouge, LA, and Barbara Burns of Benton, brother; Joseph H. Zeigler of Baton Rouge, La.
John was preceded in death by his parents; John Willis and Alma Ellzey.
A memorial graveside service will be held at a later date under the direction of Stricklin-King Funeral Home.
