James Edwin Taylor, 80, of Bentonia passed away Tuesday June 16, 2020 at The Baptist Medical Center – Yazoo. A retired Truck Driver for Miller Transporters he was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Survivors include his wife Mildred Taylor, sons; Bret (Dawn Marie) of Hoover, UT, Eric (Brandy) Taylor of Braxton, Edward (Renae) Taylor of Bentonia, Michael Taylor of Pineville, LA, Mark (Melanie) Taylor of Gluckstat, and Edwin (Jennifer) Taylor of Gluckstat, daughters; Tracy (Michael) Garrett of S. Jordan, UT, Leah (Elvis) Jennings of Madison, 5 stepchildren,28 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, and a brother Perry Arthur (Shele) Taylor of Vicksburg.
Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by his parents; W. C. “Bill” & Mildred Galloway Taylor and brother Alton Taylor.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions there will not be a public visitation.
Graveside services will be conducted Tuesday June 23 in Mt Olivet Cemetery in Yazoo County with Bishop Joseph Boone officiating. The family has entrusted Stricklin-King Funeral Home of Yazoo City with the arrangements.
