Doris Irene Tyson, 73, died March 21, 2016 at St. Dominic Hosptial in Jackson.
Funeral services are Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Stricklin-King Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service.
Mrs. Tyson was born Oct. 14, 1942 in Yazoo County to Clifford and Doris Elsie Spell Tyson. She was a registered nurse and a Baptist.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas H. Tyson.
Survivors include her daughter, Patricia Foster (Don) of Yazoo City; a son, Thomas Tyson Jr. (Amanda) of Sikeston, Mo.; a sister, Wilma Pickett of Brandon; a brother, Clifton Blakemore of Baton Rouge, La. and four grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers are Scoot Stubblefield and Cody Hearst.
