Harris L. Eldridge, 83, died May 8, 2016 at the Miss. State Veterans Home in Oxford.
Funeral services were Tuesday at the Stricklin-King Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gill Powell officiating.
Mr. Eldridge was born Jan. 17, 1934 in Yazoo County to William and Martell Sims Eldridge. He was a retired Sergeant First Class from the U.S. Army who served in Korea and Vietnam.
He was preceded in death by two daughters.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Eldridge of Scobey; two daughters, Gloria Eldridge Gower of Hot Springs, Ark. and Bobbie Eldridge Haley of Ripley, Okla.; sons, Harris L. Eldridge Jr. of Flora and Mike Siscil of Indiana; five stepdaughters, Sherry Book of Flora, Cindy Kinard of Biloxi, Datra Davis of Bentonia and Jennie Mullen of Grenada; and a grandson, Cody Mullen.
Serving as pallbearers are Danny Fuller, Tanner Porch, Roger Hampton, Jeremy Porch, Coatney Tucker and Chad Parker.
