Fannie Mae Berry, 81, died November 12, 2016.
Mrs. Berry was born Fannie Mae Felton to Mary E. Hudson and Major Felton Sr. on November 12, 1935 in Yazoo City. She was raised by her mother with assistance from her grandparents, Lettie B. Hudson and Richard Hudson Sr.
Fannie was taught to love the Lord at an early age and accepted Christ on
February 12, 1950 at the age of 15. She lavished her faith and love on everyone she came in contact with. She had a magnetic and bubbly personality that drew people to her; she never met a stranger.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Nell Hudson; step-brothers, Cedric O. Felton and Kenneth Felton; step-sister, Sandra Felton; step-mother, Janie Felton;and step-son, Robert Taylor, Jr.
Fannie leaves to carry on her legacy: daughters, Bobbie L. Felton, Wanda F. Jennings, Cornelia A. Johnson, Trina L. Johnson, Natasha L. Johnson, Varona A. Johnson; and son, Lance E. Felton. She also nurtured and prized her step-children, Ann Marie Thompson, David L. Taylor (spouse Glenda), Willie L. Taylor (spouse Shirley), Josephine Washington, Minnie Turner and Margaret Washington; and her step siblings; sisters, Jackie Williams, Gertie M. Williams, Lajoyce Felton Purdue, Terri Lynn Felton and Janet D. Felton. She is also survived by twenty-four grand and ten great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
