Daniel Harris Ables, 84, of Benton passed away Friday, March 24, 2017 at The State Veterans Home in Kosciusko.
Abe was a U. S. Army Veteran, an insurance agent with Stricklin-King Funeral Home, and a member of Scotland Baptist Church.
Survivors are his wife Myra Ables, son; Kenny Ables (Laurie) of Benton, daughters; Teresa Dew (James) of Yazoo City and Tonya Milsaps (Mike) of Philadelphia, Tenn., 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, brother, Phillip Ables of Clinton; sisters, Rebecca Edwards of Houston, Texas, and Grace Coker of Yazoo City.
Abe was preceded in death by his wife Barbara Ann Ables, and a grandson Brandon Harris Nelson.
Services will be held at Scotland Baptist Church at 5617 Scotland Road, Bentonia Monday, March 27.
Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. followed by services at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at the church cemetery with Rev. Glenn Allen officiating.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
