Memorial services for Cecil L. Davis, 59, who passed away Tuesday, June 6, 2017 in Ferriday, La. will be held at noon on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at Young’s Funeral Home in Vidalia, La. with Brother Russell Wagoner officiating under the direction of Comer Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the time of service.
Cecil was born on September 2, 1957 in Shreveport, La. to Vernon “Pedro” Davis and Lois Martin Davis.
Cecil was a “happy- go- lucky” person who never complained and loved riding in the country with his dog. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and hanging out with his buddies. He worked for twenty years with Southside Texaco in Natchez. Cecil was a member of the Methodist faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Paternal Grandparents, Elton and Edna Davis; maternal Grandparents, Alvin and Lilly Martin.
Cecil is survived by two sons, Brandon Davis and wife, Kelly, of Biloxi and Taylor Davis and wife Morgan of Fayetteville, Ark.; a daughter, Amanda and husband, Zack Prichard of Madison; five grandchildren, Cameron, Anna, Emmi and Mia Davis and Nora Prichard; a sister, Carmen Bayse of Del Rio, Texas; and his caretaker, best friend, Kristi Guillory of Vidalia, La.
Memorials may be made to The American Cancer Society or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
