Mrs. Betty Stampley Alexander, 90, passed away on Sunday, October 30, 2016 at Mississippi Care Center in Morton. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 from 9-11 a.m. at Lakewood Funeral Home with funeral services beginning at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park.
Mrs. Alexander was born on February 23, 1926 to the late Orville and Eloise Stampley in Bentonia. She was a member of Central Baptist Church in Bentonia.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Hubert L. Alexander; parents; brothers, Andrew and Norris Stampley; and sister, Marjorie Kirk.
Mrs. Alexander is survived by her daughter, Karen Warner (Bill); brother, Herbert G. Stampley (Elaine); sisters, Dot Porter (James) and Mary Dann Stampley; grandson, Brad Warner (Melissa); and great-grandchildren, Drew and Beckam Warner.
