Bessie Loraine “Sweetie” Alderman, 86, of Benton died Saturday, December 17, 2016 at The Baptist Medical Center Yazoo.
Services will be at Stricklin-King Funeral Home Chapel with visitation Monday, December 19 from 5-7 p.m. With services Tuesday December 20 at 11 a.m.. Rev. Steven Howell will officiate. Burial will follow in Shiloh Cemetery.
She was a member Hillcrest Baptist Church and before retirement worked as a Nursing Aide.
Sweetie was preceded in death by her husband; N. L. Alderman, Jr.; son, Robert Lloyd Alderman and a grandson; Michael Dewayne Douglas.
Survivors are her daughters; Ethelyn “Lyn” Alderman Jones of Benton and Wanda Faye Alderman Douglas of Bentonia; son; James Keith “Jimmy” Alderman of Benton; five grandchildren and12 great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers are Will Alderman, Ellis Douglas, Will Duke, Billy Guthrie, Keith Alderman, and Draven Howell.
