Annie L. (Miss Ann) Mckennon, 92, of Demorest, GA., formerly of Yazoo City, died Sunday April 24, 2016.
Visitation will be Thursday, April 28 at 10 a.m. at Stricklin-King Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at 11 a.m. at Glenwood Cemetery with Rev. Caleb Clark officiating.
Born September 28, 1923 in Stratton, she was a longtime active member of Calvary Baptist Church in Yazoo City. She was the manager of The Cafeteria at Annie Ellis School and retired as a receptionist from The Mississippi Highway Department. She also volunteered her time with the residents of Martha Coker Convalescent Home.
Miss Ann was preceded in death by her parents; Jess and Ellen Taylor and her husbands, C. W. Ray and L. C. McKennon.
Survivors are her son Sidney W. and wife Mary Ann Ray of Demorest, Ga.; stepdaughter, Linda and husband Tony Bernamonti of Madison; stepson, Jimmy and wife Mignon McKennon of Brookhaven; 6 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
