A Yazoo County man was sentenced to seven years in jail, following a plea bargain in connection with burglary and drug dealing charges.
Christopher Durden, 32, pleaded guilty in Yazoo County Circuit Court and was sentenced to two jail terms, which will run concurrently inside a state correctional facility.
Durden was sentenced to serve three years on two counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute. He was sentenced to 10 years, with seven to serve, for breaking and entering into an occupied dwelling.
After his prison term, Durden will also be placed on three years’ probation.
