Johnny Wilson will fill the unexpired term of the late Charles "Mickey" O'Reilly on the Board of Commissioners of the Public Service Commission.
Wilson, a healthcare professional who previously filled an unexpired term on the city school board, was selected by the Mayor and Board of Aldermen Monday.
Wilson was nominated by Mayor Diane Delaware.
Ward 1 Alderman Ron Johnson had nominated Magnolia Thomas for the position, and Cynthia Walker was nominated by Ward 3 Alderman Rev. Gregory Robertson.
Triangle Board
Butch Gary, president of BankPlus in Yazoo City was appointed to the Triangle Advisory Board. He fills the position vacated by Bettye Crout, who moved out of state.
Historic Preservation
George Dixon and Eugene Fouche were appointed to the Historic Preservation Committee, which has been inactive for some time after members resigned.
Ward 4 Alderman Dr. Jack Varner nominated Betty Simmons and Sonny Peaster. Delaware said they would have to submit resumes and qualifications to be considered by the board.
