A suspect in a Friday shooting in Warren County picked a bad time to be walking down Highway 3 with a gun in his hand.
Brian Greer, the suspected shooter in an incident Friday at a Bovina campground, was arrested by the Yazoo County Sheriff’s Department just before noon Saturday.
Law enforcement are has been in the area since Friday searching for a suspect in an unrelated homicide that took place in Vicksburg Friday.
In that case Summer McGee, 20, of Yazoo County is charged with the murder of 37-year-old Moses Lockett. Vicksburg police investigators believe McGee shot Luckett in the head Friday afternoon.
A male suspect was seen driving McGee away from the scene of the crime. The truck they were reported to have been traveling in was later stopped by the Yazoo County Sheriff’s Department on Miss. Highway 3 near Eagle Bend Road.
McGee was taken into custody, but the male suspect fled the scene on foot and escaped into the woods. Deputies have been searching for the man, but have not yet found him.
