Two men were arrested this week for allegedly stealing a television from a camper in rural Yazoo County.
Jimmy Rogers, 33, and Zackary Cobb, 20, were both charged with burglary.
Terry Gann, chief investigator with the Yazoo County Sheriff’s Department, said the two arrests stemmed from deputies first responding to a domestic call on George Saxton Road.
“Upon responding, we soon discovered that Rogers had a warrant for his arrest,” Gann said. “Bringing him in and beginning our investigation, we learned that papers were filed on Rogers by a victim who said he broke into his camper trailer on Fletcher’s Chapel Road and took a flat screen television.”
As the investigation continued, it was later discovered that Cobb was also involved in the same burglary, and warrant was soon issued for his arrest as well.
Both men remained in jail as of press time.
