A rural Yazoo County church was burglarized this week, with deputies charging a man and his juvenile accomplice in the crime.
Jesse Flegger, 25, was charged with burglary of a church and involving a juvenile in a felony.
Terry Gann, chief investigator with the Yazoo County Sheriff’s Department, said the duo allegedly burglarized Old Concord Church on Anding-Oil City Road.
“They ransacked the pastor’s office, and then they also broke into a shed by tearing the back out of it,” Gann said. “A church member arrived at the church and found them sitting in the shed. At that point, the suspects fled the scene.”
Through the investigation, deputies issued a warrant for Flegger who was then arrested.
Gann said more charges are also pending.
