After shooting a woman in the face, an alleged robber remains in critical condition after being shot by her husband last week.
Officers responded to the shooting around 6 p.m. last Friday at a home at 1287 Rainbow Street when it was reported that David A. Hobson allegedly tried to rob the couple at their home.
“The caller stated that Hobson shot his friend’s wife twice in the face,” said Chief Andre Lloyd. “The husband of the female victim then shot Hobson multiple times.”
Lloyd said when officers arrived on the scene, they discovered two gunshot victims. The Pafford Medical Transportation Unit was then requested by officers, airlifting them to the University Medical Center in Jackson for medical treatment. Both parties were in stable condition as of press time.
Lloyd said Dobson, 22, of 427 Grand Avenue, will be facing multiple charges ranging from aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, attempted robbery, discharging a firearm in the city limits, with other additional possible charges being investigated.
