Do you ever wish you could share your thoughts with the local police department or other city department heads?
You will soon have that opportunity.
Yazoo City Police Chief Ron Sampson will begin hosting one meeting each week for the four wards in the city beginning next month. Sampson said the meetings will offer the public an opportunity to ask questions, give feedback and share concerns.
He has invited other department heads and aldermen to attend these meetings. Sampson said he plans to continue these meetings every month.
The meetings will be held on Thursday nights from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Each meeting is dedicated to a different ward in Yazoo.
The schedule is as follows:
Thursday, Oct. 5: Ward 1
Thursday, Oct 12: Ward 2
Thursday, Oct. 19: Ward 3
Thursday, Oct. 26: Ward 4
