Dr. William Nelson, Chair of the PSCYC, is pleased to announce that Richie Moore, a lifetime resident of Yazoo County and current manager with Entergy Mississippi, has been named the incoming General Manager of PSCYC.
Moore is presently serving as Utility Performance Manager with Entergy Mississippi and has previously served ten years in engineering, management, and distribution areas. He has risen through the ranks of one of Mississippi's premier energy providers, starting as a lineman/journeyman lineman and progressed professionally into leadership roles in operations and utility performance management.
Moore began his career in community utility services with Yazoo Valley Electric Power Association.
Moore attended Mississippi College while working full-time and providing for his family and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting and will complete work for a Master's Degree in Business Administration in May. Richie is married to the former Amy Wilkerson, also a lifetime resident of Yazoo County (Bentonia), and they have two young children, Julian and Emily. Amy is a financial analyst for Entergy Mississippi.
Moore began his PSCYC service on March 19, 2018.
Dr. Nelson would also like to recognize retiring general manager Jimmy Wever for his thirty years of leadership of PSCYC, the past fourteen years as the general manager. During his tenure the utility has been a reliable provider of electrical power and other utility services. Dr. Nelson and the entire PSCYC Commission thank Jimmy for his able and tireless service to them and to the citizens of Yazoo City.
Wever will continue to work with the Commission and help implement the management transition plan until his anticipated retirement date of June 30, 2018. His service will be formally recognized at that time.
