A Yazoo City man is charged with two counts of aggravated assault after deputies say he attacked two women.
Dewayne McCullum, 30, is accused of stabbing one woman and beating another. The Yazoo Herald does not identify victims of crime.
The incident occurred at Oakhaven Apartments in Yazoo City around 5:30 a.m. Thursday.
One of the women also stabbed McCullum. She has not been charged, and investigators believe she acted in self defense.
Sheriff Jake Sheriff said none of the three individuals involved suffered life-threatening injuries. The female victims were treated at Baptist Medical Center and released.
McCullum remained in the Yazoo County Jail at press time Thursday.
