Elementary students are warmly invited to the library’s Christmas programs. At the events there will be Christmas stories, questions to ponder, and crafts and activities. The purpose of these events is to hear and participate in stories about the camaraderie and kindness that make the holidays special. Below is a list of events.
• Tuesday, December 8, 2015: Come at 4:30 to the children’s room and join The Christmas Robin in decorating with “silver moss.”
• Thursday, December 10, 2015: Come at 4:3o to the children’s room, hear about a Jewish family giving their Christian neighbors a merry Christmas in The Trees of the Dancing Goats. Make origami goats.
• Thursday, December 17, 2015: Come at 4:30 to the children’s room. Hear the story Santa Calls. Have a snowball fight with the evil queen!
• Tuesday, December 29, 2015: Come at 4:30 to the children’s room and hear the tale of the special gift of The Littlest Angel, butcher Christmas carols during the intermission, and make gift boxes.
The library is located at 310 North Main Street, next door to the Triangle Cultural Center, and across the street from Manna House
All programs are free of charge.
