After allegedly fleeing a road block and leaving drugs inside his forsaken vehicle, a Yazoo man turned himself into authorities this week.
Kabron Grant, 22, was charged with felony evading, possession of marijuana, failure to comply and disorderly conduct after leading deputies on a chase last Saturday.
Terry Gann, chief investigator with the Yazoo County Sheriff’s Department, said deputies were conducting a safety checkpoint on Shady Drive.
“Grant fled the scene in his vehicle after deputies asked him to put his car in park and step out of the vehicle,” Gann said. “A chase ensued with Grant abandoning his car in the back yard of his residence on West Eighteenth Street Extension, where he bailed out of his car and ran on foot.”
Deputies later discovered marijuana inside his vehicle.
However, Grant turned himself into authorities last Monday.
