A Yazoo City man is charged with stealing 27 batteries from one local business and attempting to sell them to another local business.
Chadarion Henderson, 21, was arrested by Yazoo City Police last week and charged with commercial burglary and possession of stolen property.
Police Chief Jeff Curtis said officers begain investigating after learning that the batteries had been stolen from Yazoo Steel. Henderson was arrested while attempting to sell the batteries.
“The business owner positively identified the batteries as stolen from his business only hours earlier,” Curtis said.
Henderson has a long history of arrests ranging from disturbing the peace, domestic violence and petit larceny, but this appears to be his first felony charge.
Henderson remained in the Yazoo County Correctional Facility with a $30,0000 bond at press time.
