Angelica Williams has been named Yazoo County High School’s STAR (Student-Teacher Achievement Recognition) Student for the 2015-2016 school year
She selected Richard Easterling as STAR Teacher.
Angelica is the daughter of Carrie and Randy Williams. She is a member of the National Honor Society and Drama Club, track team co-captain, and VIP student. She is on the Principal’s List, a writer/editor for the Journalism Staff, and an Envirothon team member.
In JROTC, Angelica is the JROTC Academic Bowl captain, a security and intelligence officer, a superior cadet, and a co-captain on the PT team.
The Yazoo County High School senior will be honored during the annual Education Celebration on April 28 at the Jackson Convention Center in downtown Jackson.
Richard Easterling was designated by Angelica as STAR Teacher. He has been teaching for 3 years. Mr. Easterling has a B.A. degree in English from the University of Southern Mississippi.
