He was born in Yazoo City on January 9, 1956. Thomas “Tom” was a Marine Corp veteran, worked as a correctional officer at the Oahu Community Correction Center (OCCC) for the State of Hawaii and most recently was a long haul driver for Crete.

As many gathered in Yazoo City to celebrate homecoming over the weekend, shootings occurred within a neighborhood, outside a nightclub and along a central street within the city.
