Norquist, who died Wednesday at his home in Yazoo City, was one of the most productive people we have ever known. He was a hero in World War II, leading soldiers in heavy action in a critical battle.

Samarai sword-swinging suspect shot

A domestic dispute quickly escalated into a samurai sword-wielding attack that ended with gunfire in rural Yazoo County last weekend.
Edison Strickland, 26, was charged with felony malicious mischief and three counts of attempting to commit a crime.
