Peyton McGlawn had one of the best performances in Benton Academy football history Friday in a 60-30 win over Deer Creek.
The senior running back had 11 carries for 208 yards, five touchdowns and a two-point conversion. He scored a total of 32 points in the game.
In addition to his incredible offensive performance, McGlawn also help lead the defense with eight tackles, one tackle for loss and three pass breakups. One of those pass breakups was for a turnover on downs that set up the offensive drive ending in his fifth touchdown of the night.
McGlawn didn’t have the only impressive performance on the field Friday night. Check out this week’s edition in print or online for details and all the latest local sports news.
