With the game tied 4-4 in the bottom of the seventh inning, Jake Louis Paul came through with an RBI single to give Manchester Academy the win over Winston in game one of the playoffs.
The Mavericks were trailing 4-0 in the sixth inning, when the team came back with five runs on five hits in the bottom of the seventh.
Adam Edgar drove in two runs with a single to help lead the comeback. Edgar went 2-for-3 on the day with two RBI.
Hayden Austin earned the win. Austin also had a good day at the plate with a hit and an RBI.
Wrigley Richardson had two hits and an RBI for MA. Grant Nixon also had a hit and scored a run.
Manchester travels to Winston on Thursday for game two of the series.
