A Madison man was killed in a one-vehicle crash in Yazoo County over the weekend.
Yazoo County Coroner Ricky Shivers said Joseph Scott Letteri, 36, was pronounced dead on the scene of the crash by Pafford EMS paramedics.
Letteri was the only occupant of the vehicle, Shivers added. The crash occurred last Friday at about 9 p.m.
“An SUV traveling north on Niven Road, near the Benton community, ran off the road, rolled onto the passenger side then struck a tree, ripping back the roof,” Shivers said.
Volunteers with Midway, Benton, and District 3 Volunteers Fire Departments also responded to the incident. The cause of the crash is under investigation by The Yazoo County Sheriff’s Department.
