With a 42-39 victory over Central Holmes Monday night, the Manchester Academy Lady Mavericks improved to 2-0 on the young season.
Manchester’s other victory came against Discovery Christian, 49-25.
Against Central Holmes, the Lady Mavs were led by Presley Trammell with 22 points.
Anna Kelly had eight, Mary Druery had six, Angel Carpenter had four and Ellie Carpenter had two.
Trammell was also the leading scorer against Discovery with 19 points.
Manchester travels to Winona this Friday. That game will also be the first of the season for the Mavericks, who were supposed to play Monday night, but Central Holmes is still playing in the football playoffs.
