Notice is hereby given that the Yazoo County Port Commission of Yazoo County, Mississippi will receive sealed bids until 5:00 P.M., June 11, 2021,
for the following: Lease from Yazoo County, Mississippi of 8.61 acres, more or less, located in Sections 31, Township 12 North, Range 2 West, Yazoo County, Mississippi (Old Tusk Hardwood Leased Property) described as
follows: Beginning at a point that is 1,210.7 feet North and 2,756.1 feet West of the Southeast corner of Section 31, Township 12 North, Range 2 West, said point being the Southeast corner of the River Grain Property, run thence South 0 degrees 41 minutes 41 seconds East 915.5 feet; thence South 87 degrees 22 minutes 39 seconds West 394.8 feet; thence North 2 degrees
37 minutes 21 seconds West 915.0 feet; thence North 87 degrees
22 minutes 39 seconds East 425.0 feet to the point of beginning,
containing 8.61 acres. (“Property”)
MONTHLYBIDS SHOULD BE SUBMITTED ON
A LUMP SUM BASIS FOR THE PROPERTY.
Bids will be received for the lease of the Property, for a term of three
(3) years, said lease shall begin on July 1, 2021, and end on June 30, 2024, with the rent to be paid on or before fifth (5th) of each month beginning July 5, 2021, during the term of this lease. Other terms and provisions of the lease to be executed with the successful bidder, including a detailed description of the land to be leased, are on file with the Clerk of this Board.
Said bids shall be left with the Chancery Clerk at the Chancery Clerk Office Building in Yazoo City, Mississippi, by 5:00 P.M., June 11, 2021.
At 9:00 A.M. June 16, 2020, the Yazoo County Port Commission will open and consider all said bids at the Board of Supervisors’ Room in the
Chancery Clerk Annex in Yazoo City, Mississippi. The Yazoo County Port Commission will present said bid(s) for approval to the Yazoo County Board of Supervisors. The Yazoo County Port Commission and the Yazoo County Board of Supervisors reserve the right to reject any and all bids.
